ALIEN Art Centre was once a site of countless arrivals and farewells, witnessing a turbulent yet significant chapter in Taiwan’s history. Through Hou Hsiao-hsien’s iconic film "Dust in the Wind", this building and the story it embodies have been indelibly etched into memory, leaving an enduring mark on cinema.

Now transformed into a contemporary art museum, the site remains dedicated to reflecting on its history. In the permanent exhibition titled《Crossing》 Hong Kong artist Ng Sio Kei reinterprets the past through the lens of contemporary art. His works connect the past and present, inviting visitors to rediscover the emotional and narrative significance of this space.

This summer, in a continued homage to Taiwan’s cultural heritage, the ALIEN Art Centre collaborates with Der ZÖMAR, a Taiwanese wellness brand dedicated to supporting professional stage workers. Together, they present the Crossing A Time afternoon tea fragrance experience. With a signature blended beverage and a subtle scent as sensory guides, guests are invited to traverse the seams of time—rekindling the emotional depth of history or revisiting the profound sentiments evoked in Hou Hsiao-hsien’s films.

In this brief interplay of scent and taste, history transcends mere textual record; it becomes a tangible experience—one that is felt, awakened, and remembered.
