“For art museums, when art engages with practical life, it is not only an act of creative experimentation but also an opportunity to observe life phenomena and artistic trends.” — Yaman Shao
Celestial Eyes explores how various creative individuals—such as fashion designers, photographers, models, and dancers—express personal style and creative spirit through jewelry, while also responding through their own works. The following is an excerpt from the interviews and narratives:
APUJAN: “When wearing these pieces, I hope to convey my personality and the messages I want to express. You can imagine that behind them lie many stories—romantic, yet tinged with a sense of childlike wonder.” “The inspiration for this clothing collection is closely tied to the literary references, whimsical imagination, and imagery of time’s passage embedded in the artworks. APUJAN extends into a fantastical cosmic realm, skillfully merging elements of fashion, art, jewelry, and the human body. Drawing inspiration from the artist’s fluorescent blue-and-orange works, we created a unique Celestial Eyes fashion look.”

Chen Yung Hua: “I hope to create a balance between the subject and the accessories. When the jewelry feels lighter in weight, I prefer the model to express more emotion. When the jewelry feels heavier, I lean toward having the model interact with it in a softer or more distanced manner, so the two elements reach a harmonious state.” “In this visual work, I especially wanted to present the concept of temporality, because the presence of the pieces makes me aware of my connection to time. Looking at these works reminds me not to forget those fleeting moments. In busy times, it’s easy to overlook the interesting things in life; the works act as a gentle reminder to always keep a sense of curiosity about the everyday.”

Liu Hsin Yu: “These pieces often make me think of current events, or various moments I’ve experienced in life. As I layer and wear them piece by piece, I feel my emotions shift and transform upon me. This process of transformation feels both special and full of joy.” “In this physical performance, the layers of fluorescent colors make me think of the things encountered in life—expectations for the future, hopes in the heart, surging passion, and the warmth brought by the surrounding environment.”

Su Yu Ting “In the vacuum of zero-gravity space, planets orbit between pathways, and the body becomes like a miniature planet, bearing collisions and falls. When they meet, they burst into brief light; when they fall, they return to silent stillness.” “In this creation, I tried to let the body be both the observer and the observed. Every rotation, stretch, and pause is like tracing the trajectory of celestial bodies. Conversations with the artist feel like the gravitational pull between planets—drawing each other in, yet keeping distance. I hope that when the audience watches, they not only see a movement, but also feel the silent energy—born from the instant of encounter, the inevitability of parting, and the eternal flow deep within the universe. In Celestial Eyes, my body is a star, and so are you.”
