Concept

The “Y” and “M” on the front of the shirt come from the English initials of YUIMOM Group, and the overall design is inspired by the paintings by Shao Yung-Tien (S.Y.T.) - The Deep Sea and Bright Forever. The circular patterns, coupled with the “Y” and “M” cropped out from the paintings in a geometric font, are arranged to form a picture frame that lays out these elements.

On the back of the shirt are two blocks of elements, also straight from the paintings, pieced together to create a new grain pattern with artistic integration, where the concept of the paintings is expressed to its fullest.


Material

Mercerized cotton, also known as pearl cotton, is a fiber of premium quality, where cotton, as raw material, is worsted into high-count yarns, before it goes through singeing and mercerization. With such a treatment, the fabrics become more lustrous and brighter in color, making first-rate yarn that is soft and wrinkle-resistant. After mercerization, the high-quality knitted fabric not only retains the fine texture of the raw cotton, but imparts a silk-like luster. The way cotton fibers look and feel is thus changed- soft and cooling as well as breathable and comfortable.
