" On the way " is an interactive video installation that captures the viewer's position in real-time and transforms it into the movement of the images. Based on particle generation, the work tries to present the infinity of the cosmic nebula in a continuous diffusion and disturbance. As viewers walk around the installation, they find themselves surrounded by countless shimmering and enigmatic starlights.

On a macro level, the interweaving and dispersal of particles represent the trajectories of human beings in society. On a micro level, the boundaries keep dissolving and collapsing after the individual's self-expansion.

The viewer's presence in the artwork is not simply captured data but a deliberate proof of human intervention. This chaotic state reflects, to some extent, humanity's excessive reliance on technology.

PeiYing Lin

Pei-Ying Lin labels herself a visual artist. She is a graduate student at the Institute of Techno Art at National Cheng Kung University. Lin has delved into video art since 2016. Her works include an amalgamation of personal past, body parts, and gender consciousness. Recently, she has been trying to expand the form of creating; combining technology and arts to enhance the interaction between the work and its audience. Her works feature digital technology and her life experiences. In a nutshell, Pei-Ying Lin looks forward to discussing more issues through her works.
